As the founding principal of RAAW, ALLYSE is the vision behind the Vancouver based design, contracting and residential development firm. Since 2015, she has successfully led over a hundred interior projects spanning residential, commercial, multifamily and hospitality, delivering over 1.2 million square feet of indoor space to date. As a designer-developer, she exercises a refined design-led approach across scale for the firm’s internal capital projects.
Trained in Urban Land Economics, Interior Design, and Urban Design, her research in urban affordability and equitable densification is met with the vertically integrated, interdisciplinary nature of her practice. She has taught undergraduate interior design thesis studios and is a regular guest lecturer and critic for studio reviews at UBC, SALA. She currently sits on the Urban Design Panel for the City of Vancouver, and the Resilient Regional Design Charrette steering committee.
Beyond research and practice, ALLYSE has served on the Items-Writing Committee for the NCIDQ IDIX exam since 2023, (re)shaping professional qualification landscape for Certified Interior Designer designation in North America. Her most recent endeavour involves asking the ‘Tiny Urban Dwellers’, together, with Petit Architect in reexamining the concept of the ‘Highest and Best Use’ (HBU) for False Creek South—where she works with FCS RePlan and ReTool as a pro forma advisor.

ASSOCIATE INTERIOR DESIGNER | JENN HUANG

JENN is a versatile and forward-thinking designer with a background spanning both interior design and real estate. She bridges the gap between aesthetics and functionality, believing that great design can elevate everyday experiences. As an interior design graduate of the Wilson School of Design at KPU, she is currently pursuing NCIDQ certification, underscoring her dedication to professional excellence. At RAAW, she plays a key role in shaping and executing design solutions across diverse projects, collaborating closely with the team to translate each space into purposeful and inspiring environments.
Her work is shaped by a love for the outdoors, photography, travel, and culinary exploration—experiences that inspire and inform her design approach.
ASSISTANT DESIGNER | NATHANISHA

NISHA is an undergraduate student studying design at the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (UBC). In and outside of her studies, she observes the spatial world and the lives of the people within it, inferring and identifying the social meanings of and within spaces. She applies lived experience and design knowledge to projects in the non-profit and housing sector, particularly to improve well-being and quality of life. She leverages her strong communication skills in integrated project management, product R&D, and community engagement.
NISHA is particularly interested in RAAW's design-led process, and in how design agency can be leveraged to promote equitable project outcomes and mitigate risk through the firm's distinctive approach to design implementation.
SENIOR PROJECT CONTROLLER | YAN LEE
PhD., P.Eng.
LEE joined RAAW Contracting Ltd. in 2021, supporting design implementation for RAAW development projects. Trained as a Chemical and Mechanical Engineer with over 25 years of large-scale multidisciplinary project management experience in the Canadian energy sector, he ensures cost predetermination and schedule alignment.

B.A, Licensed BC Builder
With a background in Interactive Arts and Technology (SIAT) and architectural building technology, JEREMY specializes in Building Science for residential construction in BC. He is a licensed residential builder with the Canadian Home Builders’ Association, BC since 2021 with RAAW Contracting Ltd.

BID, Millwork Design Specialist & Technician
CARL encompasses a robust skillset in the interior design and planning framework, with a focus on design documentation and site implementation. His design philosophy and RAAW’s people-focus approach to design converges in the design process, which is essentially is a journey that begins and ends with strong teamwork, and client relations. Carl is committed to continued professional development and learning and is on his way to obtaining NKBA (National Kitchen & Bath Association) certification.

JASON is an interior designer with background in planning for functional spaces that are both sustainable and aesthetically outstanding. With passion for modern interiors, his interests in furniture design and documentation is an integral part of the successful interior design project management. Jason’s focus on practicing interior design is paired with his continued dedication to learning. He is currently working towards his RID designation and is a supporter of regulated, professional and distinguished interior design practice and standards.

PERI holds a bachelor in Interior Design. Her passion for interior Design extends from her lifelong love of expressing creativity through a do-it -yourself mentality and desire to inspire other through art, architecture, and culture. Peri views design as a means to leave legacy to generations by creating spaces that integrate communication, connection, and feelings. Her purpose is to help her clients to create a space that reflects their personality. Peri has a strong sense of spatial organization, design details and creative energy. Her on-going efforts to better her professional practice through the NCIDQ qualification process is reflected in her pursuit of the examinations while working as a designer. “Design is your story in one space”, is the way Peri puts it.
